And so it begins!

It’s officially two weeks into the REthink season, and we’re excited to tell you that opportunities to volunteer are picking up!

Trash Can Labeling: Today from 12-2pm you can help Eva and WE Conserve label Camp Randall’s compost, recycling, and trash bins! If you would like to participate contact Eva at 708-738-2790 to let her know you’re going to participate.

Speaking of Camp Randall…

Athletics Recycling! This Saturday (September 27th) you can volunteer to help divert game-day waste from the landfill by volunteering at Camp Randall at 10:45am. Last week we diverted 40% of the football game’s waste from the landfill, which is pretty spectacular. If you volunteer you can also get a free t-shirt, $10 food voucher, and free entry to the game. Sign up to be awesome.

Farm Mob: All you pretty farm-lovers can participate in the first Farm Mob at Scotch Hill Farms this Sunday. We will meet in the parking lot behind Science Hall at 11am and will return back to campus by 4pm. Sign up or contact Amelia (arossa@wisc.edu) if you want to volunteer.

FUN STUFF:

Some of us REthinkers will be attending William Cronon’s speech on the American Wilderness Act (Since it’s now 50 years old!) at the Memorial Union Theater on October 21st at 7pm. We would love to see you there. Learn more here.

Hope to see you guys at all these awesome events, stay tuned for more opportunities to come!

Next meeting will be next Wednesday at 7pm! Look back next week for details on location.
