In the REthink News

We brewed up some great new ideas for recycling last night. Jeff proposed holding a bicycle donations event for Pedals for Progress, which collects used bicycles  and sends them to countries like El Salvador for humanitarian causes. For more information, see the vid at   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfDAaqlSdlk

In another collaboration with WE Conserve, REthink will be helping to gut the School of Human Ecology building (before its renovations) and recycle the paper and books that would otherwise be thrown away. If you would like to help, and get some free books or possible treasure, show up at the SOHE building Saturday February 20th at 1:00. As always, if you’re worried about ‘just showing up’ email us at rethinkwi@gmail.com for more information.

Finally, REthink is helping the UW Hospitals spearhead their new composting program. REthink will be educating visitors about what to compost, what to recycle and what to throw away March 1st-4th. If you’re interested in helping out, contact Mike Amato at m.amato@yahoo.com.
