Teaching Waste Management is REthink’s new outreach initiative focused on teaching students about sustainable waste management strategies Madison Area schools . Our goal is to develop an after school program that helps teach waste management to children at a young age. This project is partnered with the Madison After School Science Club, and is facilitated by UW-Madison Professor Paul Williams.
In contribution to the project, REthink will be designing and creating “bottle backpacks” for anywhere from 200-400 underprivileged kids in the Madison area, all made from recyclable materials.
